Landmark Center
All of life celebrations have a special space to use at Landmark Center. Landmark Center is conveniently located in downtown St. Paul on historic Rice Park across from the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts, St. Paul Public Library and The St. Paul Hotel. Open to the public every day and available for private events, guests are welcome to have a “Landmark Experience.”
Formerly a Federal Court House and Post Office, the building opened in 1902. During its time as the Court House, the building was the site of the famous 1920s “Gangster Trials.” By 1965 it was virtually empty and in disrepair. With the treat of demolition looming, a small group of local citizens spearheaded a campaign to save the building. In 1970, the building was placed on the National Register of Historic Sites and renovation began. The building was renamed “Landmark Center” and opened to the public in 1978.
Landmark Center is now a unique and special place to hold your event. With our grand Cortile and beautiful courtrooms, we can accommodate groups from 20 to 1,000. Landmark Center is fully accessible to handicapped visitors.
