When a death occurs, oftentimes out-of-town guests wish to attend the funeral or memorial service. Dependent on your circumstance, there are a variety of options from family-oriented to the peaceful and elegant. 

Most area hotels are able and happy to assist you in accommodating for reserving from one room to a block of rooms dependent on your needs; many hotels are also able to conveniently assist with holding the memorial service and/or reception on-site. 

Should you be interested in holding a memorial service and/or reception at a hotel, call and ask for the catering manager or event coordinator.  The event coordinator/catering manager person also may assist in reserving rooms for your guests.

If seeking guest rooms only, call the hotel, ask for reservations and let them know you are planning a funeral / life celebration. You may need to inform them of an estimated number of people needing rooms. Some hotels offer a special bereavement rate, depending on room availability.
