Our hospice philosophy recognizes that every person deserves to live out his or her life with respect and dignity, free of pain and in an environment that promotes quality of life.

Sholom's Medicare-certified Hospice fulfills a crucial need in the Twin Cities. Sholom Hospice combines ancient traditions with modern tools and offers care to terminally ill clients. While we offer specialized services to Jewish clients and their families, we serve clients from all religious and spiritual backgrounds. Sholom Hospice embodies traditional Jewish values: acts of loving kindness, human dignity and community.

Hospice offers the terminally ill an alternative to curative treatment with care that focuses on symptom management and pain control - allowing the patient to live out his or her life to the fullest with dignity and respect.

A highly trained interdisciplinary Hospice Team partners with the patient, family, friends and the primary physician to create an individualized plan of care.

Hospice services are delivered wherever the patient calls home - a private residence or apartment, nursing home or assisted living residence. The Johnson Center on the Shaller Family Sholom East Campus in St. Paul offers private suites designed specifically for hospice patients.

Hospice services are covered through Medicare, Medical Assistance, private insurance and private pay.
