CHF Hospice House of Wright County

The Community Health Foundation of Wright County joined forces with Elim Care, Inc, a senior healthcare and housing organization to embark on a project to meet a current need - the need for residential hospice care in Wright County. It is the vision of CHF to build a five-suite, residential hospice house overlooking scenic Buffalo Lake which will feature the best in end-of-life care while providing family members the opportunity to spend time with their loved one in the community they call "home". Not only does hospice care support patients, but it also sustains and encourages their families. Hospice is the gift that allows families the opportunity to say "thank you", "I'm sorry," "I love you" and goodbye to their loved one. Families of hospice patients receive respite, bereavement counseling and spiritual care throughout the time their loved one is receiving hospice services and during the months following their loved one's death. "Because We Care" is a county-wide, volunteer-led effort with a total project goal of one million dollars to build Wright County's first hospice house for persons at the end of life and their families.
